Tigers & Terriers Rugby News

Sunday Matches
On Sunday 27th April 2008, the Tigers play away at Cobham RFC, meeting at 11.30am. For SatNav users the postcode is KT11 2BU.
Unfortunately, the U17s section of the Esher Junior 10s on Saturday 26th April 2008 has been cancelled and, consequently, the Terriers will no longer be taking part.
Click on the links below, if available, to view the team sheets. Where appropriate, links to maps can be found on the Fixtures page.

You have got to be fit to be the best!Mid-week Training
Last mid-week training on Thursday 1st May 2008 at 6.30pm for all. Training will start earlier until the end of the season as the floodlights are unavailable while the clubhouse is being redeveloped.
Please note mid-week Training does not only give the coaches the opportunity to try new moves and players to improve their fitness, it also gives Brett and the coaches an opportunity to explain what is happening with regard to the weekend games and life in general. If you cannot attend Training, for whatever reason,, it is imperative that you phone Brett, Clive or Rhys beforehand to explain your absence which, in turn, allows them to impart any relevant information to you. If a phone call is impractical, (for what reason, I can’t think), a text or email will just about do. No communication is totally unsatisfactory.

.... and the winner is!Presentation Evening
The end of season Presentation Eveninhg, Disco and Buffet will take place on Sunday 4th May 2000 at The North Star, 69 Whitton Road, Hounslow, Middlesex, TW3 3DG (Map).. The evening will commence with the Presenation of Awards and players and interested parents are requested to arrive at 5.00pm. The Player of the Players awards will be voted on at the beginning of the event. Player’s guests are invited to attend from 8.00pm with strictly no more than two guests per player.

Worthing Sevens Photos
The official photographers at this event have a website from where photos can be viewed and purchased. Go to http://www.dephotos.co.uk/emAlbum/cgi-bin/pro/emAlbum.cgi?c=show_album;p=Rugby/Worthing%20RFC/2008.

RFU Survey
THE Rugby Football Union is giving everyone involved in English rugby the chance to have their say on the International Rugby Board’s proposal to introduce eight new Experimental Law Variations (ELVs) throughout the game next season. The RFU believes that some of the ELVs could fundamentally change the nature of the game as it is currently known and that all those potentially affected by their introduction should be consulted. The RFU is therefore launching a special consultation website www.rfusurvey.co.uk to enable all parts of the game to express their views on the ELVs and whether they should be trialled in the manner proposed. The survey is open to players, coaches, referees and supporters and gives people chance to compare and vote on the existing law and its associated ELV before the Union formally responds to the IRB.
